Application Recommendations:

To effectively use Clipper®, it's important to note that it's a contact herbicide that degrades quickly in water. To ensure maximum effectiveness, it's crucial to achieve good coverage and contact time. Follow label instructions to determine the appropriate volume of water for your application.

When applying Clipper® to floating or emergent weeds, use 6 to 12 ounces per acre and mix with an adjuvant approved for aquatic sites. For subsurface applications, apply Clipper® at 200 to 400 ppb in the water column.

It's important to review the label for information about the effects of high pH on plant response and efficacy.

Precautions & Restrictions:

  • No restrictions for swimming, drinking, or fishing.
  • DO NOT apply to intertidal or estuarine areas.
  • If the area has dense weed vegetation, only treat half of the water body at one time and wait 10-14 days before treating the remaining area. DO NOT re-treat the same section of water within 28 days of application.
  • Wait at least five days after application before using treated water for irrigation purposes on food crops. Treated water may be used for irrigation purposes on turf and landscape ornamentals, as described in the Irrigation Restrictions Following Application table below.
  • DO NOT use Clipper in water used for crawfish farming.
  • DO NOT apply Clipper to the same section of water more than six times per year, and DO NOT exceed 400 ppb during any one application.
